Food will not be provided at the event. Bring your own picnic lunch. Boston Common is surrounded by food options, including vendors, the food court in the Transportation Building at 10 Park Plaza, Boloco on Boylston Street and McDonald’s and Sal’s Pizza on Tremont Street. You can also go to these places for air conditioning if needed. The MBTA will also be providing an air-conditioned bus for temporary relief from the heat on-site.
There is no reserved parking at the event. We encourage you to take public transportation. The closest T stops are either Park Street or Bolyston Street. Parking is available in the Boston Common underground garage on Charles Street South for a fee. The garage can accommodate vehicles up to 6 feet 3 inches tall. Larger vehicles must find off-site parking.
The event is rain or shine. You should bring sunscreen, a hat and dress appropriately for the weather. There will be an air conditioned cooling bus to get relief in case of heat. Also, a shade ten is provided for the general public. Only extreme and unusual weather will cancel the event. In the case of severe weather, we advise you to check our website for any updates: www.ADA25Boston.org.
The marchers gather by 11:00 AM at the corner of Boylston and Tremont Streets. The march will be accompanied by a New Orleans Style marching band. Feel free to make your own joyful noise. Chanting encouraged!
